JAHOPP LMS

LMS reporting for courses, teams and employees

Follow course access and completion with records that help you plan the next action. Jahopp supports manager follow-up and, with Analytics, selection, comparisons and exports. Available views depend on modules, role permissions and responsibility area.

What can you follow up in an LMS?

Distinguish access from completion: someone may have access without having started. Review courses that are not started, in progress or completed and use the result to support employees. Course completion follows the configured training requirements; it is not a measurement of practical job performance.

  • Employee course progress and completed training.
  • Course and group selections for a relevant comparison.
  • With Analytics: periods, completion metrics and comparison periods.

Permissions and scope: actions and responsibility area

A permission determines what someone may do. Scope determines which people or groups the action concerns. A local employee manager can follow employees connected to their responsibility, while a group manager works with administered groups. Installation administrators can have broader access. The name of a role alone does not define the full access policy.

Analytics separates access to report areas, identification of individuals, export and installation-wide scope. A role may be allowed to review summaries without being allowed to identify people or download files. Access checks also apply to the data request, rather than only hiding menu items.

Example: a manager follows up one team

A fictional retail organisation has Team North and Team South. The local manager for Team North opens an employee’s course progress and sees a training activity that remains. The manager uses this as a basis for a conversation and further support. A colleague in Team South should not appear merely because they take the same course.

Test this with the actual local manager account. An installation administrator can have a wider view, so testing only as administrator does not confirm local responsibility boundaries.

Which reports can be exported?

Analytics supports CSV, Excel and PDF exports for supported metrics. Person reports have a CSV export. The group management report view also offers CSV. These are different reporting workflows with their own permissions; every format is not available in every view.

Check the audience, group, course and period before exporting. In Analytics, export rights and the current responsibility area are checked again when a generated export is downloaded. If access changes, a new export may be required.

What should you ask to see in a demo?

  • An employee with access but no completed training.
  • A manager account limited to its responsibility area.
  • A role allowed to view summaries but not identify individuals or export.
  • A report and export with the same relevant selection.
